Join us for a Live Networking Event and Open Space Session focused on "Burning KM Topics You'd Like to Discuss".
This year we are trying some new things to enhance our connectedness as a Community of Practice.
In addition to our on-line sessions, we are going to try to reinvigorate the networking component of our
Community of Practice and leveraging some new collaborative tools.
Our Kick Off meeting will be held in Downtown Philadelphia the evening of October 14th from 6pm to 8pm at the Friend Center at 15th and Cherry. http://www.friendscentercorp.org/index.html in the Rufus Jones Room.
Networking will begin at 6pm. The meeting will start around 6:30pm. Post meeting networking will also be encouraged.
Our session will be take the format of a Open Space event focusing on the "Burning KM Topics You'd Like to Discuss". Essentially, whatever important topics the participants identify are fair game for a small group discussion.
There are some guidelines to follow, but most importantly is some passion around a topic that YOU ARE INTERESTED IN.
In preparation for the session, consider KM topics of interest to you. To get you thinking, topics could be:
o A challenge you now face.
o A new technology that intrigues you.
o Your career in KM.
o An emerging trend and it's implications.
o Some expertise you want to share with others.
o Something you are trying to make sense of.
Any and all are possible discussion topics.
So, as a desired outcome, you will:
1. have some lively, thought-provoking conversation,
2. have a chance to be heard in an area of interest specifically to you,
3. learn something you did not know before the session, and
4. help the KM Group identify potential topics for future monthly sessions.
We will also be leveraging a new tool called Facilitate.
